Dive Right is led by David Wright, a PADI Master Instructor with over 40 years of experience in the dive industry. He is joined by pro dive mentors and team leaders from renowned dive centers, including Pattaya Dive Centre, Scuba Adventures Thailand, Seafari Diving Thailand, TEC Pattaya, The Deep Academy and of course The Dive Right IDEST Training Centre. Together, we’ve formed a professional diving community, offering experience from diving across the world from the United Kingdom, to Europe, Thailand, Malaysia and Australia. Our team truly offers a unique blend of training expertise and career mentoring skills.
Each affiliated dive center is a PADI 5-Star Dive Centre, Instructor Development Centre (IDC), or Career Development Centre (CDC). The dive team leaders – highly experienced professionals holding qualifications such as IDC Staff Instructor, Master Instructor, and Course Director -mentor pro-level students, ensuring world-class training.
We chose Dive Right as the central hub for this collaboration because it is also home to the IDEST International Dive Technician Hub, a mixed gas blending facility, and a dive equipment servicing center. This means that, in addition to training, we provide the essential services that Divemasters, Instructors, and dive centers rely on to operate—all to internationally recognized safety standards.
By training with the Dive Right and the Deep Program, you gain access not just to one dive center and team but to all of them! That’s six times the knowledge, expertise, and real-world experience during your pro-level training—plus a direct entry into an established network of dive professionals and dive centers upon certification.

David Wright (Founder) PADI Master Instructor
With over 35 years of instructing experience, Dave started out as an instructor in England before moving to Ko Samui in the 90’s, since then he has worked with many Multi-Platinum PADI Course Directors, Divemaster trainers and Instructor trainers to produce thousands of professional divers, dive Instructors and higher Instructor-level certifications. Now based in Pattaya Thailand he has been at the forefront of professional diver training since the early 90’s and was responsible for training many of Thailand dive center owners today. He is also the IDEST dive technician instructor trainer handling all the of the IDEST dive equipment training courses, technician workshop operations and gas blending for nitrox and technical diving.
Arnold Yap - PADI Course Director
With over 23 years of instructing experience, 15 of them teaching IDC’s, Arnold is a multiple-time Platinum Course Director who has certified over 1,200 dive Instructors and Instructor-level certifications. Originally from Malaysia, Arnold speak English, Malay and Cantonese and is one of our CDS leading the PADI IDC courses. With his experience and dedication to quality diver training, Arnold helps dive instructor candidates to perfect their dive skills and knowledge to help you pass your PADI IE (PADI Instructor exams) as well as push you to strive to become the best dive Instructor that you can be.
Troy Jamieson - PADI Course Director & Technical Instructor Trainer
With over 3,000 recreational dives and 1,500+ technical dives, Troy is a seasoned PADI Course Director and Technical Instructor Trainer. Starting his journey in Australia, he has trained and certified divers worldwide, specializing in PADI TecRec, TDI, and PSAI courses.
Based in Thailand, Troy is passionate about deep diving, wreck exploration, and pushing the limits of technical diving education. His hands-on approach ensures divers gain not only the skills but also the confidence to explore safely. Whether you’re advancing your technical training or stepping into a tec diving internship for the first time, Troy’s expertise will guide you every step of the way.
Andy Lua - PADI Course Director
Dan Jansen - PADI Staff Instructor
Dan The Man as he is known has over 10years as a pro diver. Hailing from Dutch/Thai descent, He speaks English, Thai, Dutch and German. Dan completed his professional diver certifications in Pattaya with us and has since become a leader racking up over a decade of professional dive experience teaching everything from Discover scuba diving programs to Divemaster courses. Dan is also connected to the Master diver training program teaching wreck diving and Sidemount as well Underwater photography as he is our inhouse Underwater media expert.
Andrew Jennings PADI Master Instructor
Andy maxed his dive log out around 6000 dives and stopped counting. Turned pro in 2007 and started working in diving with Dave back in 2009 where he grew his experience diving in Pattaya every day for almost 8 years before branching out to Koh Tao, Malaysia, Indonesia and eventually Malta before returning to open Scuba Adventures Dive Centre and then create the Deep Academy Pro Diver program. Andy now helps lead Divinginternship.com and guides our pro dive mentor team to design our unique diver training programs and collaborative diving internships.
What is the Dive Right IDEST Technician Centre?
Dive Right is Pattaya’s longest-established and only dedicated dive supply, equipment technician, and training center.
As an official IDEST Training Centre, we specialize in training dive industry technicians through internationally recognized IDEST courses. Our comprehensive programs cover all aspects of scuba equipment maintenance, cylinder inspection, and testing, divided into six specialized segments—each offering hands-on training and certification in key areas of dive equipment servicing.
Beyond training, we provide professional scuba equipment, regulator, and tank maintenance and inspections for local divers and dive centers. We also offer gas blending services for technical divers and maintain an extensive collection of twin sets, sidemount, and stage tanks for technical diver training.
Additionally, Dive Right operates Pattaya’s only mixed gas filling station, featuring Trimix and Nitrox blending, air banks, and a hydrostatic testing facility. This allows us to offer a full spectrum of training, certifications, and qualifications essential for dive professionals. Our Divemaster trainees receive unparalleled hands-on experience, gaining valuable insight into the inner workings of the dive industry.
